The bungalow at Inn to the Mystic is a two bedroom house on the ocean; it can accommodate four people, offering a queen bed in each of the bedrooms. The space has been lovingly renovated to become a bright, open concept dwelling with expansive views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Olympic mountain range and the East Sooke peninsula. The ocean in front of our property is a migratory route for Grey Whales, frequented by both Transient & Resident Killer Whale Pods and home to the South Island's premier fishing destination; enjoy watching nature's beauty from many of the rooms, or venture to the oceanside yard to relax in the sun.
The bungalow has a full bathroom with tub, as well as an open plan kitchen for the nights you want to cook and stay in; there is a fridge, stove/ oven, as well as dishwasher. The house also has a washer and dryer for your laundry needs. With a bohemian design plan, we have chosen to adorn this home with a mix of vintage and new treasures, finds from our global travels and a curated selection of art that supports our strong network of artists, both local and global. Our eclectic overtone aligns with our belief that every space should tell a story, and working with many repurposed items allows us to tell our story while being gentle to mother nature.
Our 0.65 acre property is also home to our '76 Airstream Landyacht, "Gyspy Soul", which offers additional accommodations for two or three (there is a double bed in the main space, plus a single bed if required). Gypsy Soul has been restored with all new plumbing and electric, and has been converted into a bright secondary accommodation with fresh white paint. There is a kitchen with a fridge, cooktop and small oven, as well as a bathroom that includes a full bathtub for post-exploration relaxation. We have curated the furnishings and accessories from our global travels, giving this space the eclectic, bohemian vibes she deserves.
